An Iconic Winery Drops Into Main Street

Pahlmeyer is one of the valley’s best offerings, year after year. Erin Green, winemaker, has taken this winery to new heights and these wines are delicious! We are happy to have two of the best from the winery,
the 2006 Napa Valley Merlot
Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate Issue 180, December 2008 “Pahlmeyer’s Merlot was the uncontested top California Merlot for many years, but significant competition has emerged from the upstart Kapcsandy Estate in Yountville. However, Pahlmeyer’s offering remains one of the classic examples of just how great Merlot can be in Napa. The 2006 Merlot (89% Merlot and 11% Cabernet Sauvignon) exhibits sweet chocolate, mocha, cola, black cherry, and plum aromas and flavors as well as full body, a sumptuous, dense texture, and no hard edges. The beautifully integrated acidity, tannin, and wood result in a hedonistic, mouthfilling, luscious Merlot to consume over the next 10-15 years.” 94 points
and the 2007 Napa Valley Chardonnay
Wine Spectator, June 30, 2009
“Aromas of fresh, ripe fig and peach join smoky, toasty oak and spicy hazelnut notes in this sleek, full-bodied style. Ends with a sweetish fig and apricot edge that’s elegant and complex. Drink now through 2012.” –JL 92 points
